For the aspirant's
Spiritual Growth and self realization :

This is a no-smoke, no-alcohol,
no-drug, no-television, and
purely vegetarian (with no
poultry or seafood) premise.
-
Only spiritual aspirants who live
a celibate life live here. All
others are visitors.
-
All aspirants, for their own
benefits, should observe the
following guidelines:
-
Always speak Truth.
-
Live a clean,
independent, simple life
such as walk and use
bicycles more than using
car, do their own
personal work (such as
making bed, cleaning
room, washing clothes,
dishes, etc.) and will
not let other residents
or visitors do their
personal work. Service
before self should be the
aim.
-
Have minimum of personal
possession.
-
Eat less -just enough to
sustain life; drink
plenty of clean water.
Exercise regularly, specially
Yogasans.
-
Pray at all times,
especially three times
(morning, noon and
evening) in assembly. The
evening prayer will
follow the "Arati" at 8:30
p.m.
-
Will follow a set daily
schedule but be flexible
as needed.
-
Will wake up early in the
morning not before 3:00
a.m. and will not sleep
after sunrise, except in
midday between noon and
3:00 p.m.; similarly will
go to bed early but after
9:00 p.m.
-
Will have Love,
compassion, kindness,
forgiveness, mercy and
other virtues.
-
Will not have anger,
greed, ego, jealousy,
envy, lust, pride, and
other vices.
-
Will meditate, practice Yogasans,
serve people,
and do work of their
interest in the Ashram.
